Everything you need to know about BharatCalc and our calculators
Which calculators are available on BharatCalc?
BharatCalc offers 50+ free calculators including SIP calculator, EMI calculator, income tax calculator (new vs old regime), GST calculator, PPF calculator, FD calculator, EPF calculator, HRA calculator, CAGR calculator, NPS calculator, BMI calculator, compound interest calculator, age calculator and many more — all built specifically for Indian users.
Is BharatCalc completely free?
Yes, 100%. Every calculator on BharatCalc is completely free to use. There is no login, no signup, no subscription, and no hidden charges — ever. BharatCalc is and will always remain free for every Indian.
How accurate are BharatCalc's results?
BharatCalc uses standard financial formulas — the EMI calculator uses the reducing-balance method, the SIP calculator uses the future-value formula, and the PPF calculator uses annual compounding consistent with government norms. Results are highly accurate estimates; for legal, regulatory, or binding financial decisions, always consult a SEBI-registered advisor.
Does BharatCalc work on mobile phones?
Yes. BharatCalc is built mobile-first. Every calculator is fully responsive and works seamlessly on smartphones, tablets, and desktops. The sliders, inputs, and charts are all touch-optimised.
How often are tax rates and financial rules updated?
BharatCalc updates all calculators after every Union Budget and whenever the government revises rates (e.g. PPF rate, EPF rate, tax slabs). The income tax calculator is always updated for the current financial year — you'll never get stale calculations here.
What is the difference between SIP and lumpsum investment?
A SIP (Systematic Investment Plan) invests a fixed amount every month — ideal for salaried individuals who want to build wealth gradually with rupee cost averaging. A lumpsum investment is a one-time large investment — better when you have a surplus amount and markets are at a low. Use BharatCalc's SIP and Lumpsum calculators to compare both scenarios side by side.
What is the best investment option in India?
There is no single "best" investment — it depends on your goal, risk appetite, and time horizon. As a general guide: for long-term wealth creation → equity mutual funds via SIP; for tax-saving with guaranteed returns → PPF or ELSS; for safe fixed income → FD or RD; for retirement → NPS or EPF. Use BharatCalc's calculators to model each option and make an informed decision.
How is EMI calculated in India?
EMI is calculated using the formula: EMI = P × r × (1 + r)ⁿ / ((1 + r)ⁿ − 1), where P is the principal loan amount, r is the monthly interest rate (annual rate ÷ 12 ÷ 100), and n is the number of months. All Indian banks use this reducing-balance method. Use our EMI calculator for instant results with a full amortisation schedule.
